manhattan thanksgiving, friends, friends and more friends...

it all began with craig's beautiful pumpkin pie.
then on the holiday itself, i threw together (painstakingly!) an amazing homemade dressing.
and homemade cranberry relish, complete with granny smith tart apples.

here's the naked bird - bone-in breast only.
amanda and mark are the first new york friends on the new couch!
paul is the next...
and here's the finished product, with a nice toasted paprika color and slivers of thyme!
saturday, en route to hawaii from miami (with a giant layover in nyc!) roger, mary and their baby alexander stopped by. this image depicts alexander's first ever bagel with cream cheese!
he makes faces.
uncle craig smiles while alex makes sure mom & dad are still in the room...

here's roger's first appearance, admiring his cute family in midtown manhattan.
in bryant park, mary discovered ornaments from 3 states she and roger have lived: texas, florida and washington dc!
this was roger's idea...
showing off our dSLRs!
we worked in that building when we first moved to nyc! on the 9th floor!
we found a mcfadden's for lunch. alex feeds.
food on his face somehow looks so cute!
and that is enough for one post! stay tuned for even cuter pictures of alex, and of the adults playing Wii after alex had gone to bed!! Happy Holidays to all!
